Handrails are typically installed at a height of approximately 90 cm to ensure ergonomic use. This is particularly important on outdoor stairs, where safety and stability are paramount.
For permanent installation of outdoor handrails, several holes are drilled and special anchors are used, which are then bonded with a specially formulated adhesive. I typically visit the site twice – the first time to drill the holes and glue in the threaded rods. Depending on the temperature, I allow these to cure for 24 hours. The second step involves the final assembly of the handrails.
This method ensures that the handrail holds reliably – even under heavy use or changing weather conditions.
Especially in outdoor areas in Berlin, where rain, frost and temperature fluctuations play a role, stainless steel offers a particularly durable and easy-care solution.
