Hi! I am Andreas & mycrocabin This is my passion project. It's wonderful that... Sie einen Blick hinter die Kulissen werfen möchten, wenn die Cabins werden von mir selbst gebaut.
IN NATURE IS
SLEEP IS THE BEST
Since childhood, I've spent countless nights outdoors. I love clearing my head – to gather fresh thoughts or simply to have no thoughts at all.
A TENT..?
NOT ALWAYS IDEAL
Sleeping outdoors depends heavily on the weather – and yet I have always been fascinated by the effect: gaining new perspectives, not having to follow a plan.
And this is where mycrocabin comes in: right in the middle of nature, but cozy and weatherproof.
Why mycrocabin is my passion project
Even as a child, I built things with my grandfather, a carpenter – my love for craftsmanship has stayed with me. So has my enthusiasm for nature and sustainability.
Mycrocabin brings together both: thoughtful construction with natural materials – for a cabin in nature.
A place to retreat to, to consciously create.
Soon you too will be able to use it for your workation – for focusing or for consciously doing nothing.
What is Mycrocabin?
You may have heard the term "tiny house" before. But what exactly is a cabin?
Basically, a cabin is a minimalist and mobile home on wheels.
However, in a microcabin, it's not about the cabin itself, but about the..., what becomes possible for you in and around itAbsolute peace, focus, nature.
The first cabin, 'mycro_one', is reduced to the essentials and that's exactly what makes it so special.
Approximately 14 square meters, with a 1.60-meter-wide and incredibly comfortable bed, plus everything you need: kitchen, shower, toilet, electricity, water, and fast internet. It's designed for one person – or a couple who like to be cozy.
Just about an hour from Berlin, a place awaits where you can truly unwind. Or fully immerse yourself. In your thoughts. In your project. In nature.
Three more cabins are planned
One slightly larger one for couples, one cabin for small families – and a fourth with extra space for creative processes.
I'll reveal more soon 🙏🏼
What moves me
On LinkedIn I regularly share my thoughts on focus, work, retreat, and new ideas.
PLANNING IS THE BEGINNING
Wood can be a sustainable building material if it comes from, for example, sessile oak (climate-resistant, hard and durable) or silver fir (hardly any resin, deep-rooted).
SUSTAINABLE (& HEALTHY) INSULATION
Straw, hemp, wood fibers, sheep's wool, or cellulose paper – insulation materials can be diverse and environmentally friendly. That is precisely the goal of Mycrocabin.
Thermo-Hemp® – Hemp-Flex® – Hempire, for example, are very good hemp mats that meet fire protection class B.
Sleeping and working in nature –
with comfort.
Coming soon to the first mycrocabin.
